Noluthando's Journey Through Chaincode

Noluthando Madonsela_Software TesterMeet Noluthando Fortunate Madonsela, who came through the doors of Chaincode Academy ready to learn and eager to explore the fascinating world of Information Technology. She had just come from her studies at Adom Technologies to start a workplace-integrated learning program, a special program designed to give her hands-on work experience outside of the classroom. Her new job title was Software Tester.The Founder of the academy became her supervisor and assigned her to work directly on the search functionality of the Chainbook Accounting & Invoicing Software. She realised the importance of her testing role for that functionality as she identified that "When people use a program to manage their money, they need to be able to find old receipts, bills, or records instantly without getting frustrated". This led her to work on string minimizers and Meilisearch to enhance the program. NQF5 MICTSETA CertificateAlthough she was a software tester, she quickly realised that software testing requires some basics of software development, which is a journey that she ventured on within the academy. Later on, she said about the academyI am just grateful to be doing practicals at the Chaincode Academy. I came here as a software tester, but now I have acquired enough skills to become a Software developer.Noluthando's job was to make sure that the search bar worked perfectly. Instead of just doing basic checks, she looked closely at how the search tool actually found information.Months down the line, she is now a qualified Software Tester with NQF level 5 and actively looking for a permanent role in the ICT Industry. We are more than proud to be involved in her journey of Software Development.
